On June 1, 2023, the Canadian government publishes the digitized records of the Canada people in 1931. This expected event will reveal a snapshot of life in life in life.More than 10 million peopleLives in Canada then.The Canadian law dictates that the census register remains private to92 yearsBut at the launch, almost 235,000 images will be available to browse on the Library and Archives site site (LAC).Following the first release of these digitized records, LAC will collaborate with Ancestry® and FamilySearch International to read the images using Ancestry® Advanced Handwriting Technology and verify the accuracy of the index.These collaborative efforts will create an advanced searchable database of Canadian inhabitants.
The 1931 census was that of CanadaSeventh census(Although the earlier colonial and regional censuses date back to 1666). The first cans in Canada were recorded in 1871 and continued every ten years thereafter. On June 1, 1931, estimated15,000 countersHe went to work.Canada extends over 3.8 million square kilometers, so it was no easy task.Members of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police signed up as counters in more isolated parts of the northern and prepared census questionnaire within800 miles of the North Pole. For the first time, census officials didn't have to wait for those results to arrive by boat. Instead, they sent the accounts viaradio or aircraft transmission, and the official returns arrived some time later via steamship.

Most citizens collaborated with counters, although there were exceptions.Some farmers complained about how long it took to answer questions about agricultural hours andhidden from counters. The Doukhobors, a group of Russian dissidents whose rejection of the Russian Orthodox Church took them to Canada, created a stir for census officials. A small dissident group of Doukhobor,Children of freedom, the Canadian government authority refused. So when the census region knocked on the door, they refused to answer and tried toscare the counterswhenNaked protest paradessupply himabsurd answersfor questions. The black sheep of the family: He never married, he never owned property and spent a large part of his life working in BC camps or as a search engine in the north. He was a World War 2 veteran, I was lucky to find his medical records at the Veterans Ste Anne Hospital near Montreal. He answered many questions about where he had been after the First World War.
According to Ancestry and its CEF personnel files, my grandfather Jesse left the States to join the Canadian Sesas Expeditionary Force on February 6, 1916. This military file was of ancestry and included his military and medical information (some of it is written in French). He then married a lady from Great Britain on 28 Oct 1919 in Prince George, BC.
It was the last information I have about him. Did he keep himself in Canada? He was also a tree. It has not appeared in the American census of 1920, 1930, 1940 or 1950. I am very curious. In addition, I can notLike having relatives without date of death.

On June 1, 2023, the Canadian government will release digitized records from Canada Census 1931. This highly expected event will reveal a snapshot of the life of the more than 10 million people living in Canada at the time.Canadian law dictates that census registers must be kept private for 92 years, but by publication, almost 235,000 images will be available on Library and Archives Canada (LAC) website.

My grandparents immigrated to Canada from Denmark in 1927, and my grandmother desperately wanted to return to his beautiful homeland, but then came the babies, including my mother, who was twin, and saw the depression so they couldn't afford to save the necessaryfunds up.against fee to a family of 5.
I have always wondered this because in 1930 my paternal grandparents traveled from Alberta to Italy with my 5 year old father for an extended vacation of 10 months. How is it possible that they could afford a good vacation (even sail back to Canada in the Emperor of Australia, known as a beautiful and luxurious ship), but my mother's family could not afford to return home?I was able to find employment information for my grandfather through the University of Calgary archives and was surprised to discover how much money he made working in the Cadomin coal mine. In 1928 he earned $4,700!! Almost $400 a month plus housing was provided for the family.
The 1931 census includes wages for the last 12 months and I was able to find the information on my maternal grandfather, for that year he won $1,050 and paid $11 months for a rented house, leaving the family with $75/month. This information provided At the census it was very useful to understand why the family could not return to Denmark and how they ended up staying in Canada.
And even though I already knew where my grandparents lived in Canada and when they arrived, it was great to see them officially listed in a Canadian census :O)Maybe you can help me with a question:
I was able to find the district and sub-districts of my family living in northern Ontario and on Manitoulin Island, but I was not lucky enough to find which district and sub-district the town of Cadomin, Alberta was in in 1931.Today, Cadomin is listed in "Yellowhead" district, but there was no district with that name in 1931, and since the area is so remote, I have to look in the areas listed as
“Municipalities 47, 48 and 49 in intervals 25, 26, 27 and 28, west of the fifth meridian, municipality 50 in intervals 26 and 27, west of the fifth meridian and municipality 47 in wrath 1, west of the sixth meridian, all Lying east of the Athabaska River and within the municipality "Yes, I think cadomin is in the sixth meridian, but it could be the fifth.
But it turns out to be an impossible quest for me.Were you able to find them in a 1921 census in the same society?If so, the subdivision may have remained the same.
I found it!!
I started moving and realizing that every mining was on the list separately, so I only started looking for "coal miners" at work, so I could go through each subdistration very quickly.
So Cadomin appears in Peace River South –
0054 Corregimiento 46 in the area 23 and 24, west of the fifth meridian.
It says "cadomin" right at the top of the papers, but the city name has not been added to the official term.Your persistence paid off!

No, the family was not in Canada at the time.
Any research tells me that cadomin is in area 14 of Yellowhead.
I have tried to go through all the "14" districts (since there is no yellowhead) across the province, but no luck.
Since you probably know that the names are not in alphabetical order, each page must be detected!
